Carolina J. Walls was born in Concepcion, Chile and immigrated to Canada as a child. Carolina attended McGill University in Montreal on a scholarship, and graduated with a BSc. in Psychology. Following graduation, she worked in the Executive Search industry, focusing on recruitment for junior oil companies while attending law school. Carolina graduated in 1989 with an LLB from the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
Carolina’s legal career focused on litigation, refugee cases and successful appeals before the Alberta Court of Appeal. She left her legal practice to raise five children, but ultimately returned to a successful career in the field of Executive Search.
Carolina is a former member of the Calgary Immigrant Aid Board, and one of thirty founding members of the Women’s Guild of Creation for the Alberta Ballet. Carolina is also Co-Chair of “Campaign McGill” for McGill University, and Co-Founder and major contributor of Best in the West, a scholarship program aimed at western Canadian students attending McGill University.
